If you truly prefer the creature comforts and you have a portable air conditioner, then the trailer can be designed with an air vent that will let all the cool air in. Or, you can add a cooler package, which in some models actually sits just behind the hitch, so you can keep your food and beverages fresh and cool and easy to access. If you want some shade where you camp, awnings are often available so you can set up some cool outdoor space as well. In fact, many motorcycle camping trailers have both internal storage space as well as a luggage rack that can hold any additional equipment or gear you might need. You can even customize other features such as color, style, and even hubcabs or rims on your trailer so that is fits in with the rest of your bike.
Of course, the weight of motorcycle camping trailers is an important consideration. You’ll need to know what your bike can safely tow. Then you’ll want to consider the weight of the rider or riders, the weight of any motorcycle camper trailers you are considering, and the weight of the gear you want to bring. Remember that the additional weight will also change your gas consumption, something you’ll want to calculate in your trip costs.
